Gritty. Soulful. Country.

North Carolina native, Pressley Laton, is redefining the boundaries of country and rock music. Drawing inspiration from an inherited passion for iconic '70s rock legends like Aerosmith and the ‘90s country stars like The Chicks, Laton is carving out her niche in the country music landscape. With a powerhouse voice that reverberates with the soulful intensity of a Baptist hymn, Laton blends her gritty, whiskey-smooth vocals with a gift for crafting timeless songs. While other children were glued to Saturday morning cartoons, Laton was captivated by CMT music videos and live country award shows. Inspired by the rise of hometown American Idol star, Kellie Pickler, Laton made her vocal debut at just 13 years old at her church’s youth talent show. This experience ignited a passion for songwriting and performing, eventually releasing her first EP in 2024 and earning third place in The Music City Singer-Songwriter Throwdown in 2025. "Pressley's music seamlessly blends creativity and depth, while her lyrics strike a perfect balance between wit and seriousness, revealing a nuanced perspective beyond her years," praised the Roots in the Round's Singers & Songbirds Songwriter Festival in Statesville, NC. With her commanding stage presence and a voice that leaves a lasting impact, Pressley Laton is the unconventional country artist poised to captivate audiences everywhere.
